The Harvest
Once we’ve identified the ideal tree, we move forward with great care and respect for the land. Whenever feasible, we handle the removal in-house, ensuring the process is safe and minimally disruptive to your property. In situations that require additional support, we collaborate with trusted professional tree services in your area. Every step is guided by experience, precision, and a deep appreciation for the life of the tree.
Milling and Drying
After the tree is harvested, its transformation begins. Each log is carefully milled to reveal the unique grain and character within. From there, the lumber is dried using one of several methods, chosen to best suit the project and timeline. Our kiln can accelerate the drying process when needed, while other approaches allow the wood to season more naturally. Every board is prepared with precision to ensure it is stable, beautiful, and ready to be crafted into a lasting heirloom.
This is where the tree’s next life truly begins. I take the dried lumber and, with care and intention, transform it into a functional work of art.
